Above is the insignia of the Second Infantry Division or better known as the Indian Head Patch. The Second Infantry Division was made up of the smaller units of the Ninth Infantry Regiment, Twenty-Third Infantry Regiment and the Thirty-Eighth Infantry Regiment during World War II. 


Sergeant Busi was assigned to the Ninth Infantry Regiment during World War II which was the oldest of the three regiments.

It was activated in 1798 and served with distinction in the War of 1812, War with Mexico in 1847, the Civil War, the Spanish-American War of 1898, the Boxer Rebellion in China in 1900, World War I , World War II, Korea and Iraq.
